I suck at Valve Covers.
So I pulled the valve cover back off of the motor, again. Turns out that the gasket didn't seat itself in the right place when I put the cover back on. The weird thing was that I waited about 15 minutes after I had put RTV sealant on the heads and the valve cover itself before I tightened the bolts. Perhaps I overtightened the bolts and the gasket squished itself out between the cover and head.

You may want to RTV the gasket to the valve cover first, and let it dry completely.
Then, RTV the exposed side of the gasket, and bolt it to the head. The dried RTV on the valve cover should keep the gasket from sliding to the inside.
P.S. nice workbench. Is that your kitchen table?
No.
YEEEEEEEEEEESSS!
The light is bad in the garage and I walked inside with the valve cover to take a picture.
I am currently working on what you suggested.
